Strengthening Newborn Health Through Collaboration

EPN actively participated in the recent National Newborn Unit Technical Working Group Meeting, where it engaged in productive and insightful discussions on newborn health priorities, progress review and strategic planning for the coming quarter. A key focus was the review of county and national newborn care data, which helped identify critical challenges such as; timely reporting to KHIS to improve data-driven decision-making, quality mentorship and supervision for healthcare providers to enhance service delivery, Strengthening systems for better newborn care outcomes across all levels and Health care financing

EPN had the privilege to present its work in the MNCH space, showcasing how we support Ministry of Health, Kenya through faith-based organization (FBO) facilities in collaboration with Christian health Association of Kenya and Mission of Essential Drugs and Suppliers (MEDS). These partnerships play a vital role in expanding access to quality maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) services, ensuring that newborns receive the care they need to survive and thrive.

The department is currently in the process of preparing for the launch of Every Woman, Every Newborn, Everywhere (EWENE) initiative. This groundbreaking initiative aims to enhance maternal and newborn care, ensuring that every mother and every newborn, regardless of location, receives the quality care they deserve.

Together, we can build a future where no mother or newborn is left behind!
