Faith communities and their contribution in ending AIDS by 2030

EPN commits to working with religious leaders in shaping advocacy policy on issues affecting communities especially within the church health system.
In July 2024, over 15,000 global leaders, scientists, advocates, and communities gathered in Munich, Germany for the 25th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2024) that was aimed to advance progress towards the shared global goal of ending AIDS by 2030.
In this gathering, was a representation of faith communities from over 175 countries emphasizing their crucial role in countering stigma, discrimination, and inequality related to HIV. EPN was represented by Advocacy Policy Advisor Rev. Jane Ng’ang’a.
Rev. Jane participated and presented on behalf of EPN and religious leaders from Kenya  envisioning an enhanced collaboration, policy advocacy and the need to maintain the momentum so that the realization of ending HIV as a global threat by 2030 can be achieved.
