Background
The Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network (EPN) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to improving public health outcomes for last-mile healthcare workers/ communities within the Faith Based Network. EPN aims to conduct market analysis of introducing new maternal and neonatal Healthcare Products including assessing current suppliers, prices, quality of products in comparison to the implemented pooled procurement system and how it has influence price, quality and availability.
Objectives
The primary objective of this consultancy is to conduct market survey, do data analysis, and develop a market shaping report with clear recommendations and insights on the influence of pooled procurement system on product pricing, supplier selection, quality of products, availability and other factors.

In collaboration with EPN and implementing partners (MEDS, CMP, CHAK & CHAN) develop a comprehensive market analysis and market shaping report, with clear insights and recommendations on the effectiveness and gaps of the FBO centralized procurement system through Drug Supply Organization (CMP and MEDS), the design of the Pooled procurement mechanism in place for MNCH products and other health products in Kenya and Nigeria.
Duration and Timeline
The consultancy is expected to be for one month with the report to be submitted by 31st January 2025.
Qualifications
The consultant should be an experience health supply chain professional with more than 5 years of experience in offering supply chain consultancy services including setting up pooled procurement systems, market shaping initiatives and other donor funded supply chain initiatives.
The consultant should have exceptional skills in data analysis, report writing, stakeholder engagement and management among other key technical skills.
Budget
EPN will provide a budget for the consultancy expenses incurred by the consultant.
Reporting
The consultant will report directly to the Supply Chain Program Officer at EPN and will collaborate Executive Director/ Senior Officer, Finance & Administration throughout the duration of the consultancy.
